The Heart Stint is a small hollow tube which is placed inside the artery which has the blockage in it. The stint that has prevailed through time from a long time ago is the bar metal stint which is still used today along with a drug eluting stint.
The operation to ensure where the obstruction is is well known as PTCA also known as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty or just known as simply angioplasty. Most of the surgical procedures go for about four to five years before the next re-obstruction in an artery.

It is said that it determines on what kind of stint the patient requires after the surgery begins because some require the bare metal and some require the drug eluting it really depends on how big of a blockage is in the artery.
Medications can help with heart stints
The doctor may even prescribe medication which will control your cholesterol if taken accordingly. However, the difference in the two Heart stints is that the drug eluting stint has a higher chance than the bare metal in the first year.
